Description

ATaPSI | Automated Temperature and Pressure with a Single Interface

ATaPSI ATaPSI (Automated Temperature and Pressure with a Single Interface) is DigiVac’s integrated vacuum process automation platform. It transforms existing vacuum ovens, tube furnaces, and thermal processing systems into fully automated manufacturing platforms.

By combining the DigiVac SNAP Vacuum Controller with an upgraded Eurotherm® temperature controller, custom oven modifications, data logging and integrated vacuum hardware, ATaPSI gives operators complete control of both vacuum and temperature from a single touchscreen.

The system synchronizes pressure, temperature, programmable recipes, and data logging into one repeatable process—reducing operator involvement while improving product consistency, process documentation, and manufacturing efficiency.

Learn more about how it works read our BLOG: ATaPsi: Integrated Vacuum and Temperature Control for Vacuum Ovens & Furnaces

Why Choose ATaPSI?

Most vacuum ovens require operators to independently control vacuum and temperature while manually recording process data.

ATaPSI combines these operations into one automated platform that controls:

  • Chamber pressure
  • Chamber temperature
  • Recipe execution
  • Process timing
  • Vacuum venting
  • Process monitoring
  • Remote communications
  • Data logging

Instead of monitoring gauges and adjusting valves manually, operators simply select a recipe and press Run. The system automatically controls every programmed vacuum and temperature step until completion.

Chamber Modifications / Requirements

ATaPSI requires hardware modifications to enable integration, including ovens and furnaces with the following features:

  • KF25 Access Port
  • KF40 Access Port
  • Terminal Strip with 4x connections for 4-20 mA Communication
  • Watlow 3204 Temperature and Process controller

These modifications are required to integrate existing vacuum ovens into automated vacuum and temperature recipe-driven systems.

Includes integration with the upgraded Eurotherm 3204 controller featuring:

  • Remote temperature setpoint control
  • 4–20 mA temperature feedback
  • 0–10 V remote temperature input
  • Seamless communication with SNAP

This allows the SNAP to command oven temperature while simultaneously controlling chamber vacuum from a single interface.

Torch Data Logger | Complete Your Process with Automated Data Logging

While ATaPSI automates vacuum and temperature control, the optional Torch Data Logger captures the data behind every process. Working seamlessly with the SNAP controller, Torch records chamber pressure and temperature throughout each recipe, creating a permanent record for process validation, quality control, troubleshooting, and compliance.

With a simple plug-and-play connection, Torch automatically logs process data to internal memory or a USB drive, allowing users to review, archive, print, or share complete batch reports without manual data collection.

  • Simultaneously logs vacuum pressure and chamber temperature
  • Automatically records date, time, recipe progress, and process conditions
  • Export data directly to USB in CSV format for Excel analysis
  • Generate printable reports for quality documentation
  • Store years of process history in internal memory
  • Simplify process validation and regulatory compliance
  • Eliminate manual record keeping and transcription errors

Recommended for: Production environments, research laboratories, regulated manufacturing, quality assurance, and any application requiring documented process history.
