In the cryogenic industry, we find that Hastings vacuum gauge thermocouple tubes are often found permanently mounted in cryogenic vessels. Often, it might make sense to have a battery operated vacuum gauge that enables you to walk along a cryogenic vessel, and measure the vacuum at that point. The range of interest is in the 10mTorr range. We have a variety of gauges that enable you to measure vacuum with Hastings tubes, and our most popular products for this application is the battery operated Model 100H for battery power, and the Model 215H for the panel mount AC version.

DigiVac has even developed a High Vacuum Cryogenic Pump Down System that integrates with existing roughing systems (e.g., Stokes) to bring cryogenic vessel jackets from <10 millitorr down to high vacuum. It features a rugged remote high vacuum gauge for monitoring pressure at the far end of the tank, along with a built-in Fyra vacuum controller to track turbo and roughing pump performance. Visual indicator lights signal key vacuum thresholds, and a dedicated turbo control panel allows operators to easily power and manage the turbo pump from the cart.
